Case Study

Our work with Swansea City AFC

Most disabled supporters decide whether to come long before matchday. So we filmed a come with us video at Swansea City, walking the stadium as a disabled supporter showing what is actually there to support.

What the video shows

The sensory room

A full stadium at full volume is not possible for every supporter. The video goes inside the sensory room so a family can see the space for themselves, before they decide whether a matchday works for them. Knowing a facility exists is one thing. Seeing it is another.

Audio descriptive headsets

We show the audio headsets and how they work on the day. For a blind or partially sighted supporter weighing up whether to travel, that is not a small detail. It is the difference between following the game and sitting through it.

Entrances and getting in

The Video walks the entrances a disabled supporter uses, so arrival is not a guess. No wondering which gate. No discovering a problem when you are already there with a crowd behind you. First visits are where people are lost, and this is where we stopped losing them.

The outcome

25,000 views and counting

The film has passed 25,000 views on Swansea City's own social channels. Access information usually sits buried on a web page. This went out where supporters already are, and they watched it.
